I created a logotype for Pink Floyd because I appreciated their unique style. They were unique and different in their progressive rock, pushing limits of popular rock music and sound. Their lyrical themes explored abstraction and especially the idea of absence. They play with ideas of being here without being present and letting your mind wander wherever you are. I tried to do show this in my design this by using abstract black and white photography and modular black shapes as well as bright pink colors to create a contrast that really spoke of contrast and individuality.
